Our Trip to Zions

We had a great time down in Zion's National Park. The amount of wild life down there was crazy we saw: frog, deer, humming birds, squirrels & chipmunks. It was so nice to get a way for a while and to such an amazing place.

We climbed one of the most popular trails there called "Angels Landing" it was one of the coolest hikes I have ever done. It's 2.5 miles one way and the last half mile is so intense you have amount a 3-5' wide trail with 1200' cliffs on either side. There is also a section that has 22 switch backs, just get dizzy thinking about that again. But it is all worth it the view from the top is unbelievable.

The next day we decided to put the bikes on the shuttle and ride up to the top and "hike" the narrows. I say "hike" cause part of it turned into a swim in ice cold water. This was something that we both wanted to do but that water almost sent us back it was so cold. But we pushed through it and WOW the narrows are one of the craziest things I have ever done. Every corner you go around it gets narrower and prettier. And not one corner is the same as the last one, then on the way back you swear you have never seen this part before.

The narrows where great but then after we where done we had to ride our bikes down the canyon. Which I have to say I would love to do everyday. Since they use the shuttles there is no cars on the road and you just ride you bike down and check everything out along the way. We stopped and took pictures at a couple of places. Then the last 2 miles of the ride we jumped on the only bike path in Zions called "Par'us Trail" While riding that you follow the river down and cross over it about 8 times on these bridges. This is one thing that I will always remember as the best 10 mile bike rides I have or will ever do.

Also while we where there the cactus were blooming it was so neat to see all of the different colors of all of the flower plus the bright pinks and yellows of the cactus. Which we found out they only bloom two weeks out of the year, we could not have planned it any better.

The weather was great the whole time, even when it did rain. There was a bit of thunder that I wish I would have recorded. When it thunders it echos off of the cliffs and sounds so deep, it was great. Then it down poured for about 20 minutes but that was when we ran into town anyways so it all worked out.

Well I hope all of you enjoy our pictures we had a great time and recommend everyone go there at least once.
